This talk will be about sexual offenders – who they are, why do they offend, what makes them risky, and how should they be managed.

We will look at the effectiveness of different interventions and some thoughts on how we might keep people on Guernsey safe.

David Briggs is a forensic clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience in the assessment and management of sexual offenders, including those with mental health problems. 

He works within the Channel Islands and the UK and acts as consultant to the Guernsey Probation Service.
