The field of personality psychology is concerned with systematic variation between individuals, what causes those differences and how they relate to real-world outcomes.

Over recent years there has been increasing research interest in the so called “dark” personality traits – those which are claimed to reflect the less prosocial side of human nature.

This talk will present an overview of dark personality traits, their costs and benefits and some of the everyday behaviours and outcomes which have been associated with them.
