Free introductory event on reducing your carbon footprint set to take place in Peterborough

08 May 2017

A free event is set to be held in Peterborough to offer an introduction to the Carbon Conversations Group.

A free talk will take place at Anglia Ruskin University in Peterborough on Monday 15 May 2017, introducing the work of the Carbon Conversations Group.

Carbon Conversations offer a supportive group environment that helps people to begin taking steps to reduce their personal carbon footprint, based on a psychological understanding of how people change their behaviour.

Small groups meet with trained facilitators in homes, workplaces or community venues to offer people:

  • Space to explore what climate change means for themselves, their families and their aspirations.
  • Permission to share their hopes, doubts and anxieties.
  • Time to work through the conflicts between intention, social pressure and identity.
  • Reliable, well-researched information and practical guidance on what will make a difference.
  • Support in creating a personal plan for change.

The talk will begin at 6pm, with registration from 5:30pm, whilst there will be the opportunity for networking after an hour-long session. It is open to both BPS members and members of the public and further information can be found on our event page.
