Northern Ireland Psychology Week: Classroom assistants, help or hindrance?

05 October 2017

There will be a free public event taking place on October 11 on classroom assistants, as part of the British Psychological Society Northern Ireland Branch (NIBPS)'s Northern Ireland Psychology Week.

Dr Marie J. Hill, an educational psychologist and the chair of the Division of Educational Psychology (DECP) in Northern Ireland, will be giving an overview of recent research into the performance of classroom assistants after they had been given training in mediated learning experience.

The research looks to suggest a possible solution to the negative impact of current classroom assistant practice that had been found in previous studies.

This lecture as part of our Northern Ireland Psychology Week, which will see a number of events taking place in Northern Ireland from 9-14 October.

It is open to both members of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and interested members of the general public and free to attend, although prior registration is required.

More information on 'classroom assistants, help or hindrance?', including details on how to register, can be found on its specific event page.
