Make My City Fair - From poverty to flourishing in Birmingham
The aim of Make My City Fair is to:
• challenge austerity – It is clear austerity is unethical as a political approach, unsuccessful as an economic policy, and inhuman in its application
• mitigate the impact of austerity
The aim of 'Make my City Fair' is to work together with the City Council, people who have experienced austerity, the NHS, education, the Police and Crime Commissioners office, business and the creative sector, the Trades Unions and researchers to develop and support different approaches to avoiding damage being done to people.
Speakers will include: Councillor Martin Straker Welds - Birmingham City Council, Dr Emma Bridger - Birmingham City University Senior Research Fellow in Psychology , Dr Carl Harris - Clinical Psychologist, Dr Angela Hewett Birmingham City University, Senior Lecturer in Health Psychology.
