Registration deadline: 12 Noon on 9 December
This interactive workshop combines a mentoring knowledge and skills ‘workout’, with a structured discussion on the potential for us to different use different forms of mentoring, whether as mentors or mentees to support professional and career development, and an opportunity to network with colleagues.
In the session we will cover:
- What lessons have you drawn from your own experiences of mentoring or being mentored?
- Review a ‘classic’ model of the mentoring process;
- Consider the differences between coaching and mentoring; and
- Explore the mentoring micro-skills of rapport and relationship building and inquiry
Following the workout we will discuss and exchange perspectives on the value of using one to one peer and reverse mentoring, and conclude the evening with informal networking.
