This workshop explores how our approach to supervision should be adapted to the developmental stage and needs of our supervisees.

The responsibilities of the supervisor will be defined and consideration will be given to how to manage situations where things may not be going as they should be or where there are ethical issues to be worked with.

These areas are rarely black and white and require careful reflection, consultation and supervision.

Completion of this series of four workshops confers eligibility for Chartered Psychologists to apply for entry onto the Society's Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS) via the approved training route.

The register is designed to recognise psychologists with special expertise in supervision. Here is more information on RAPPS.

The workshops are spread out to allow delegates time for reflection and practice, and should be attended sequentially. Feedback from previous delegates has stressed how valuable this course has been for their development as supervisors, and as supervisees.

Please allow enough time between workshops for reflection and practice. You must attend all four workshops sequentially. Attendance at day 3 is mandatory before attending workshop 4.  Workshop 4 is for practising supervisors only.

[Please note: Those interested in becoming a supervisor for BPS Qualifications, please call: +44 (0)116 252 9505 or email: [email protected]
