This workshop aims to provide clinical psychologists from all career stages with opportunities to reflect on how others view our profession and to think about how we want ourselves and our profession to be viewed and heard.
There will be opportunities to consider the barriers to using our voices (both personal and systemic) and to think with colleagues about how to support one another to overcome these locally.
The support that the DCP can offer going forwards will also be outlined.
This online workshop has been developed by the DCP Clinical Psychologists as Leaders Programme and will be hosted by DCP London. Participants will:
- Gain insight into views key stakeholders hold about our profession and what they want from us
- Be challenged to think about what we mean by ‘leadership’ and ‘using our voices’
- Have an opportunity to reflect on how diversity and power differentials impact on how we use our voices and support others to use theirs
- Learn about the ongoing support the DCP offers around mentoring and leadership
