Call for the views of students and academic staff on the impact of Covid-19

20 August 2020

The British Psychological Society is calling on students and academic staff to share their views on the return to university with its Covid-19 impact survey.

We know that Covid-19 has disrupted teaching, research and learning in lots of ways, and will continue to do so over the coming months.

So that we can best support students and staff, we want to hear the thoughts and opinions of those at the heart of universities.

This includes students (undergraduate, post-graduate and PhD students), and academic staff. What has the impact of the impact of Covid-19 been on them, and what the medium are and long term affects on teaching, research and their studies?

The insights gained will enable us to best support staff and students in the ‘new normal’.

Dr Lisa Morrison Coulthard, Head of Research and Impact at the BPS, said:

“As we near the return of students to universities, it’s really important to us at the BPS that we get the views and opinions of staff and students about the impact of Covid-19, and how they are feeling as things move towards some form of ‘normality’.

We ask all students and staff to take part in the survey to share their views – the more responses we get, and more insight we have, the better we can provide the support and guidance that students and staff need.”
