Submissions now open for ECP2023

09 June 2022

We are delighted to announce that submissions are now open for the 2023 European Congress of Psychology (ECP), which we are proud to be hosting in Brighton.

ECP is the biggest psychological event in Europe, bringing together psychologists from across our continent to showcase the latest research and innovation in our field.

We’re excited to be bringing the event to one of the UK’s leading cities for inclusivity, and giving you the opportunity to present your work on the European stage.

The theme for the event is ‘Psychology: Uniting communities for a sustainable world’, and we’re looking for research that shows psychology’s central place in tackling the biggest issues that our world is grappling with right now.

If you’re successful with your submission, you’ll have the opportunity to present your research to psychologists from all over Europe, and join us in Brighton for four days of sun, sea, sand and psychology.

We’re also keen to hear from psychology students, who will have the opportunity to present on our dedicated Student Congress Day.

Katherine Carpenter, BPS President, said:

“We can’t wait to welcome psychologists from around Europe to beautiful Brighton for ECP 2023, but we need submissions from across all of our diverse psychological specialisms to make sure this is the fantastic showcase that UK psychology deserves.

“If you’re working on something that you believe deserves a wider audience, we’d love to hear from you.”

The 18th ECP is organised by the society under the auspices of the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA), with support from the University of Brighton and University of Sussex.

You can find out more about the event and submit your research on the ECP 2023 website.
